The VE-500's stompbox configuration makes it easy to integrate into any pedalboard – simply plug your guitar into the instrument input to control harmony, pitch, and vocoder functions, then use the Thru output to send the unprocessed signal to your other pedals. With the VE-500's stereo XLR outputs, you can send your processed vocal sounds directly to a PA mixer, stage monitor, or recording device.

The VE-500 includes a wide range of effects with deep editing parameters, allowing you to create almost any possible vocal sound. Additionally, flexible effect routing options are available for processing live and harmonized vocals together or separately. Use the Enhance section to improve your voice with essential functions like compressor, de-esser, and EQ, then move on to two dedicated Reverb / Delay sections for anything you desire, from subtle to lush and expansive. Four independent FX engines are also available, each containing a vast selection of effect types. Add effects or transform the whole with distortion, radio voice, and many, many more – the only limit is your imagination!

Stay in Tune or Create Special Effects with Automatic Pitch Correction

The VE-500 also includes a dedicated pitch correction section, which is guided by your guitar or MIDI, similar to the harmony function. You can use it for transparent tone stabilization, which is particularly useful if you're not a great singer but still need to use your voice in a band. It's also possible to switch to alternate modes that provide heavily effected sounds heard in modern hits, including hard pitch correction, electronic voices, and even robot sounds.

Automatic Multi-Part Vocal Harmony Driven by Guitar or MIDI

Are you lacking good vocalists in your band? The VE-500 is the ideal solution, allowing you to elevate the quality of your songs with vocals. Its automatic harmony engine is powered by advanced BOSS processing, which detects chords as you play your guitar, generating smooth, natural two- and three-part harmonies in real time as you sing. By working with the VE-500's various harmony modes, you can refine harmonies as needed for songs with more complex key structures. The harmony engine can also be driven via MIDI (through the VE-500's MIDI or USB inputs), allowing you to generate optimal live harmonies with a MIDI keyboard or DAW-based backing tracks.

Unleash Creativity with the Built-in Vocoder

Another killer feature of the VE-500 is its powerful vocoder function, which stems from BOSS's unique and innovative VO-1 pedal. When used with a connected microphone, you can transform your guitar's sound with electronic voices and a host of brand-new options for contemporary music styles. It's also possible to replicate traditional talk box sounds, giving you access to classic "talking lead guitar" tones without the need for a hands-free rig and mouth tube.

Total Performance Control

With the VE-500's large display and panel of knobs/buttons, it's easy to create and recall sounds. Once you've chosen the perfect setup, simply save it to one of the 99 user locations for instant recall during performance. Editor/Librarian software is also available, allowing you to compile and organize sounds. Three knobs on the panel can be assigned to your favorite parameters, giving you quick access to them, even in the hottest moments of a performance. Three integrated footswitches offer access to many functions, including patch selection, individual effect on/off, harmony and loop functions, and many more. Extended control is also possible via external footswitches, an expression pedal, or MIDI.
